Not bad for a practice card. It may make the cut depending on how well I shoot next weekend.

Hey guys, can a noobie jump in? I know I can't catch up, but it would be fun on a round by round basis.

LOL…or maybe not! That's a WHOLE lot harder than from a bench. I only managed to even put it inside the rings eight times out of twenty. I'm definitely going to have learn how to steady the rifle standing again. I don't remember it being that hard back in the military, but that was some 31 years ago.

Nice shooting John. Keep it up. Wonder if we should do this once a month to keep our off hand skills sharp.

Scallen2112, check out these two links that Leo shared on another thread. I found them helpful.

Here are two web sites links for quick tips on standing position. http://www.odcmp.org/1007/default.asp?page=USAMU_STANDING

OK, now that's just showing off using two different rifles!!   Nice shooting Leo.

A few points extra each match adds up Marty. Good going.

OK, I might be adding these up wrong, but I think I am coming up with the right score. This first one was my very first card. Ugh. That's bad.

I got a little better as the week progressed, though I still can't hit the target every time. These are my best two.

    So if I am scoring this right: 108 + 108 = 216

I have noticed, from being out after squirrel all week, that I can hold a much steadier aim pointing up into the trees than I can level. Hhmm.

I'm going to have to get outside and shoot a card or two before the sun goes down. Don't worry too much as the more you practice the better you will do Clark. Also the way most of us score is to count how many points we take away from a ten when you don't hit the bullseye. It makes it easier to subtract from than add up for most. If how you write down your score works for you then keep at it.
