Airforce Zeroing Texan 457 Carbine

If you're topping off after each shot keep in mind you might be consistently ABOVE the gun's "sweet spot" (where it shoots most EFFICIENTLY). My guns CAN be filled to 250 but shoot most efficiently starting at 240-235bar. That's why I don't fill to 250. One of the idiosyncrasies of airguns.
Thanx Gerry,
I was wondering the ammo I have is:

Mr. Hollowpoint 280g hp 415 hp
NSA 350hp
Seneca 250hp
What would you recommend at 100 yards for a tight group?

i get best results with the nsa 290s at 850fps, for 3 shots starting at 230bar. Only time i fill to 250 bar is if i am gonna be in the cold shooting it...it will be 230bar by the time it chills in a blind. I am not sure what the power wheel is at to get there...i just fiddled with it until it seemed pretty happy. I can usually get 2 touching shots and then one lower shots about 2-4 inches lower, at 100 yards.

Having issues Zeroing my Airforce Texan Carbine CF in 457. I have topped off the tank at 250 bar after each shot. Tryws the tuning wheel and try good quality bullets. 290 grain Mrhollowpoint
350 gain nsa and other ammo but I can not get a consent group at 100 yards
Make.sure your barrel is clean....No lead....Some.barrels.are.good.some.are.bad..The other major thing.is your base and mounting accessories... My 510 will move.most bases under recoil except for.Airforce BKL base..My .510 CF 34 inch shoots at 3625 psi . I shoot tethered off external regulator.. I couldn't get my .510 to shoot well until i.made a.stock.for it , tensioned barrel full 1inch carbon fiber.. You have good slugs...You might wanna slug your barrel and find.out the bore.diameter... The right slug the right bore diameter is real.important on airgun s.. The best my .510 Texan does.at 125 yards is a.average of 2-4 inch 5 shot groups...I cast and powder.coat.myself....When I started my Texan was very inconsistent with a rough barrel....

Try the Mr. H.P. 255gr slugs at 3,600psi. These are giving me three shot groups that average 1,015fps with an extreme spread under 5fps. After properly tuning to the .510/255gr HP, you should consistently get 3 shot groups that are a little under 2", even at night! These slugs will group very well at 100 without wasting air.
