Zero change on ST-X liner reinstall?

All of you using these smooth twist or ST-X barrel liners, is this normal? I had removed my ST-X liner from my new WC MK2 for cleaning and reinstalled, although it wasn't really that dirty... maybe 300 shots. But I got some new Air Arms 18gr in and wanted to test them with a clean liner but I was a bit perplexed at this:

I started off shooting at bull #1 at 50 yds and my shots were hitting down close to bull #5 where the mass of shots is circled. I removed the Tatsu/shroud adapter but the result was about the same. So I'm thinking maybe I borked something on the liner reinstall, perhaps not seated correctly or something, although it sounded fine when shooting. I removed the shroud, then the liner and reinstalled, loaded up some AA 16gr, aimed at the still bare #1 bullseye and the first shot landed to the right, where the small circle is. Ok, that's interesting. Made an adjustment left, fired a few more at #1 making a couple more small adjustments, then 8 shots to #2, 2 more clicks right and shot group #3, 4 and 6, 8 shots each. Sun broke over the treeline at 12 o'clock on group 6, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Is this normal? Something I have to deal with every time I remove/reinstall the barrel liner? I'm very methodical and careful on removing/reinstalling the liner, don't feel anything was amiss but I suppose it's possible. Thoughts? Normal, abnormal?

And a pic, cause she's so lovely:

Chohan,

The same way I take it out is the same way I put it back in. I believe there may actually be a front and a rear facing portions of the barrel. On my STX liner there is a small lip on one end only. That end faces the TP. Also check to see if the oring inside the barrel, closest to the transfer port is still there or seated properly. Good luck.

Yes even if you take the whole barrel out of the Crown the shift is huge, most annoying!

Yes, quite annoying.

Strange how the poa came back up after the second install. I think I might try marking the muzzle side of the liner at 12 o'clock as it sits now. Like an index mark, then next time when I seat it, perhaps I can get the mark back at the same point and see if stays closer to the original zero.

Thanks for the feedback guys
