Zbroia Kozak 177 arrived today

"airgunmonkey"I thought about that ramjet66, have to consider the mag, pellet load probe as well, as they're differ from the .22 cal, I contacted my supplier today and just waiting for his reply, maybe I just get the 330mm barrel in .22 cal and the smaller air tube in case cannot switch to .177.....but would be awesome if we could, like the FX's and the Priest, let's see.
I am glad that yours it's on it's way. Been shooting my, as we speak, bro, I like it more and more, I made a mock up adaptor for a LDC and now I can shoot @ my backyard, it's not permanently, just to see if I could quiet it down, it works, I would say 6/10. ....... AGM , I'm sorry I forgot you were wanting a 177, I guess I was just thinking about myself(changing to longer barrel & tube) sometimes I have a 1 track mind..at my age & history I am lucky to have any left..

I feel you, I know how is like, I am the same, it feels like to be a kid again. Well IT'S FRIDAY!!! it will be by you in no time now. Prep those pellets brother, because you will be shooting a lot with it, the grey stock is very nice, different, the ballance is good, nice to shoulder. As I suggested before, don't do any adjustments on the gun just yet, shoot as it is for a good 500/600 pellets to lead the barrel and to let the reg set in, also to get used to it, then yes, adjust for your liking if need it.
Post the first impressions as soon as you get and pics, please.
Congrats on your new gun.
Marcos

I've tried 2 more different pellets at 60 yards today, crosman premier 10.5 and JSP 13.4

Crosman's grouped better, little under an inch. Was a bit windy 5 to 8 MPH.

Also, I've added weaver rail at the bottom and made hamster out of oak. It attaches to the rail with scope ring.

Well. I picked up the 22 cal Friday from ups , didn't get to trying it till Saturday, ( didn't & still don't feel well) I did not have as much air as I thought , 3 bottles = a guppy & 2 bigger tanks, all were close to 3000 psi , I only got 2 full 300 bar fills, then 200 bar , Saturday I shot 4 mags =40 shot, today sunday 3 mags only could do 200 bar fills This Broia is a Air Hog, I get 17 shots from a 200 bar fill , when it gets to around 100 bar it starts shooting 4-5 inchs to the right,or sometimes low, I never got a chance to chrony, can't remember where I stored it . ok here is some info.. it is a 180cc reservoir, & it is a 40J = the short one, I like the feel & compact size, it cycles really easy, the mags are super easy to load, but I have a hard tine remembering to count the shots, = yes I have a dry fire almost every mag..i am not sure what to say about the trigger yet, other than it is better than some i've had, I like the 2 fill probes , one has a male q/connect which I used, I Do NOT like the Long threaded fill cover, seem like it takes forever to open & close for filling, also my reservoir /tube was loose when I received it , & had to tighten it again = 2 times, not sure how much to tighten it , thinking about using a strap wrench on it , Btw, I shot it outside 43 % 30 yds dime sized stickers when I have enough air it has about 1 inch, group , it has a bit of recoil, the rest is prob my fault , I have not hardly shot in the last 1 1/2 yrs, sorry for the long ramble, my brain does not focus very well anymore, roger

These are both signs of having too much spring pre-load. Need to find your chrony and try backing off that hammer spring.

These are both signs of having too much spring pre-load. Need to find your chrony and try backing off that hammer spring. thanks BigTin, I will try to find the chrony tomorrow , but I will have to go & get my tanks filled first , I will see what fps it is shooting, but I am not looking forward to any adjusting, I lost the urge to tinker/adjust a couple yrs ago, roger

Ramjet66, the gun still have to set in, when I received my, it was full of gunk, oil/greese all around, my guess is the valve not setted in and reg also not setted in yet but I agree with BigTin, I also think the hammer is a bit too hot, as for what you're saying, 17 shoots from a 200 to 100 bar, that gives 5.8 bar per shot which is way too high hence the 1" group @ 30yrds, about the cylinder, just tight it enough to hold in place, just don't over tight as you can damage the oring, my also came loose but now it holds position, there will be a little play, don't worry about that, I guess was meant to be like that. Find your chronny and check the speed you're getting, my guess for the 330mm barrel, best velocity would be 810 to 830fps max for best perfomance with the barrel lenght, shoot the gun with 200 bar fill and check the group, then, fill the gun again to 200 bar and keep the 200 bar bottle attached to it and shoot like that the same amount of shots and check if there is a difference between the groups and speed, then keep shooting with the bottle attached and give about a minute between shots, @ about 200/250 shots the barrel will be leaded in, then check speed, if the gun is shooting around 860 fps or more, it's too hot for the barrel lenght, I would back it down to around 820 fps.
Let us know soon as you test it.

I was shooting my today, the range I have it's only 25m (+/- 27 yards) and I got a really nice group, almost hole in a hole with a bit of wind, Shutik, I think that your group is really nice, considering it's a 60 yards, windy and for a .177...Really good!!! Hope that you had more time and shot some more, please post more results, if you don't mind, it seems that you're getting used to the rifle, I always take my time between shots. Do you rest yours on the cylinder or on the stock?

I rest mine on bipod. Here is the picture from my dad's shooting lane. 60 yard target all the way in the woods up in the tree.

I was shooting from the table at the start, but these latest shots were from prone position. I had to get creative to make 60 yards distance in my back yard.

I have two more types of pellets to try. JSP 8.4 and H&N Sniper heavy 15gr. I'm bit busy until the weekend. I'd also like to try sniper medium, but don't have any yet.

Sweet, most of my guns I also shoot from rested on bipod, only the Zbroia that I haven't fixed one yet, been shooting from a rifle plastic stand, at my house I only have a 26m back yard, wind today was around 5kph with some gasps up to 8/10kph but got really nice groups, I was even trimming some strings from an old cushion case, the rifle is getting better and better. Been very busy also with some work and biking in between, mid of Feb will have some time off and go to the family small holdings where I can try longer shots and some PC and Hunting with it, I am still waiting for the guears for my lathe to be released from customs down here, then, I can start work on the new shroud and LDC to make it quieter.
Only thing here in Cape Town is the wind, this time of the year is nice and hot but the wind, every day is a b****. Sometimes, nice in the mornings, then, comes with a vengence!!!
So far, I am really liking this gun.

"airgunmonkey"Ramjet66, any more tests done with yours? Let us know how's going, I am very curious to know how the .22 cal with 330mm barrel performs.... AGM, I haven't shot it much , the weather turned crappy again, & I haven't felt very well either, + I am only able to get 200 bar fill, all 3 of my tanks are low, it shoots very well from 200 bar to about just over 100 bar , then its 4 -5 inches either low or to the right, it is kinda loud , I would like to have an ldc on it , I am not going to mess w/ hammer spring till after I shoot the rest of the jsb tin of 500 , I am guessing I have about 400 to go , anyway I really like the Zbroia, , it is short & shoilders good , & I Really like the mag , very easy to load, I just have to remember to mark them somehow , to see where i'm at on shot count as I always without fail shoot the last shot w/out a pellet .=wasted air, roger

Ramjet66, I get what you're saying, about the ldc, you can improvise one, if you have a ldc that you are not using, take the end cap off(the side that attaches to the barrel), take the internals out, now you have a empty tube, of course leave the mazzle end cap on, take some masking or electrical tape and wrap around 2" in lenght on the shroud from the tip of the muzzle towards the breech, messure the ID of the tube then you will know how turns of the tape you have to wrap, insert the tube on the shroud, making sure that is tight and secure, that will alingn the tube with the muzzle of the gun, remember that must be tight, the standard lenght of most ldc's are between 7" to 8", so pushing the tube in 2" will leave about 5" left, do not put any baffles in it, get 2 hair curlers and wrap them with felt material and insert into the tube, no washers just the curlers, do not make chambers, straight, push them till they touch the muzzle of the gun, don't worry if they are a bit far from the end side of the tube. That will quiet down the muzzle crack a lots, it will increase the overall lenght of the rifle a bit but you will note the difference. That is how I improvised on my till I get the gears for my lathe and make a propper shroud and silencer.
Oh, I hope you feel better soon buddy.

All he really has to do is back off on the HS and the gun will get much quieter......and he will likely double the shot count.
True, but these guns a fairly loud even thou, with just an empty tube it will quiet it down a lot, remember, his gun has a short barrel (330mm), that makes even louder.
