Zbroia air rifles

I've been looking into these rifles and cant find any negative comments....seem to be one hell of a bargain for the price point.

Ukraine made and they even machine their own barrels and non choked from what I gather...Airgun Depot and Baker airguns are the two newest dealers! In stock soon and I think I'm going to give one a whirl...

I was looking into the FC 550mm barreled .177 to shoot slugs or the JSB beast out of just for a change of pace. Rear cocking is no big deal to me since I’m used too it with the Taipan. Looks like right now he’s just bringing in .22s and is probably gearing up for the Sapsan. Charlie talked like he really liked them and was a great deal for the money.

I have 2 ZBROIA KOZAK'S both 22 cal.. purchased 1st one new, was the shorter one , the 2nd is the longer version purchased used from a forum member , cant say which one I like the best , they both shoot great, the short one #1 , I had the stock hyd dipped in the gator look , 2nd is on off brown color... I haven't shot anything since spring, I guess its time to start.

Do you really see ANY bad guns coming from Ukraine ?????? Do you see any that has to be sent back to the importer, Cricket, Mutant, Veteran, Vulcan, I do remember one vulcan that had a problem that Tony fixed ASAP. The guns are super accurate and built like bricks,

Get on five or six air gun sites and make a list of the guns with the problems, I am not calling names but they do a LOT of advertising, And a lot of big names under there wing and payroll, Everyone has to make a living and pay for there hobbies right????????

I've been looking around for a good truck rifle and it looks to me the Kozak with the 550 mm barrel would suit me just fine and have been waiting for some reports besides the you tube stuff. I have been wondering about the accuracy of the barrel but it seems as though they shoot just fine. Actually for me minute of squirrel head at 50 yards is good enough the places that I hunt 50 yards is a very long shot.

Hi Mike, while they are all old eastern block countries - Cricket, Vulcan are from the Czech Republic and from my understanding Taipan is also now being made there, so Zbroia and Raptor are from Ukraine, but you are spot on all great guns...

Ordered the Kozak FC 550 today! The plan is to put a .25 DonnyFL on the .22 Kozak at some point in the near future. Will post some pics and impressions once it arrives and I get a chance to shoot it.

Disclaimer - I am still very new to the game and have only been shooting the Gauntlet for the past 10 months (which I like very much). I have shot a few FX, Daystates, etc. but just a few shots out of each.

I think that you made a good pick going with a Zbroia, if your Kozak shoots anything like mine, you will be thrilled.

JSB pellets are the order of the day for mine, 15 or 18 grain domes, or Hades, they all shoot pretty much the same. I settled on the Hades as my Kozak is primarily a hunting rig.

Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50

UTG accu sync 30mm high profile mount with 50mm offset

Cheek piece adjusted up maybe 1/8 inch or so.

Edited to add-

My rifle is the Kozak semi bull pup, not the full compact or FC model.

Awesome!!!

Can I ask who did you order from?

I've been threatening to order a Raptor from JSAR but I think I need (need that's funny) one of these first....think I'm going with the semi bullpup with the 550mm barrel! Gonna give it a run against my Veteran long....I also wonder how it might do with slugs since I've read that the barrel is not chocked.

Cant wait to see how it shoots for you! That's a very good step up from the gauntlet!

Yah that's the one!!!

I've got an Athlon midas 2.5-15x50 ready to go on top....think I might be able to get away with regular mounts with the athlon. Vortex has a really long eye relief and I've had to use off set mounts with them also in the past....

Thanks for the scope mount info. I think I'm going to order new rings for my Pyramid Arms that I will install on this gun.

I ordered my gun from Airgun Depot. They sent my daughter an awesome package of cool items when she did the 100 yard long ranger challenge. They got a customer for life out of that. I may have been able to find the gun a little cheaper somewhere else with a discount code, but my loyalty took over

You might be able to get away with medium rings, but it will depend on your face structure and cheek weld, bench shooting or hunting. Most of my pesting is done from stationary positions and I tend to climb up on the rifle more VS stalking or standing. Being able to keep my head more upright is easier on me than pretzeling myself up with neck cocked over.

For me, setting the scope up a bit was more comfortable, but you may be fine with it closer to the bore center line. Only way to find out will be to give it a whirl and see how it fits.

I got my Zbroia from Baker Airguns here in Ohio, they are only an hour away, and I do not know if they have any other Kozak Semis in stock. I know that they had a Hortizia and also a Kozak FC I believe. Call them up and talk to Dennis or Donnie. There is also Joe Brancato who I think is importing them, and has always been great to deal with I have found.

Ive had my .22 Kozak 550/220 for about a month now. I'm impressed with the accuracy and very happy with the purchase, with the exception of 2 improvements and or modifications I would like. Mine has the 6" stock mono-core silencer on it that is exactly the same diameter as the shroud. This gun is what I would call barely Extra-large backyard friendly. Not nearly as quite as the Marauder I have in .25. The 2nd thing is this thing is amazingly accurate as long as you don't breath on the barrel shroud. If you hold the air tank/reservoir and just slightly touch barrel shroud you are pushing the pellet off.

I have 2 questions I'm looking for help on:

Has anybody changed the stock shroud and mono-core for a DonnyFl or other and seen a considerable noise reduction.

Does anybody know if someone makes a barrel band for the Kozak?
