+1"GQ"Take advantage of this Youtube decision and create the AirTube chanel. I think there is a business opportunity here.
Matt,"Matt_Dubber"Airgun YouTubers are facing opposition from anti-gun lobbyists, and we are no longer earning an income from videos. Without support, you may see channels like Ted's Holdover, AirArmsHuntingSA and others closing down.
Yes others can provide add revenues."EMrider"Another step back for free expression due to the tyranny of political correctness.
I think that a lot of replies have missed Matt's key point. The problem is not finding an alternative site to host his videos. In that sense, there are many alternatives to Youtube. The problem is that Youtube was unique in its ability to use ads to generate revenue for content providers. Those other hosting sites are not able to offer him any revenue potential, or certainly not close to what Youtube provided. Hence, the need for direct support from viewers.
I enjoy the vids, especially the tutorials, and am happy to be a supporter.

If just switching to another host side would fix the problem Matt would have done that already and this thread would not even exist."GQ"

There are a lot of folks on YouTube producing airgun videos. I have never thought of them doing it for money. However those that actually produce professional videos for our entertainment and education should be compensated. Before the advertisers boycotted videos like Matt's he had quit his job and was getting by. Not a lavish life style but able to do things he has a passion for. Now he has asked for a little help from his supporters and I'm happy to be included in that.So why exactly do you think you should make money from videos? This should be done because you want to, or to help others. Love how everyone in this world has there hand out all the time.. Guess you don't really want to advance the airgun community when your not getting paid eh?
I wrote Mat the same thing. Patreon turned me right off. pm me too Mat."Zoey"Matt: I made a comment on YouTube to you regarding donations. The current platform you are using charges around 25% to process the credit card for donation. This doesn't sit well with me because I feel that the entirety of my donation should be landing in your pockets, not to some service fleecing those in need.
I also feel that some potential donators might be turned off by the mandatory monthly donations (as is setup currently). Those who would like to donate one time are left with no options to help.
Do you have a PayPal account, Matt? If so, PM me your information and I will gladly send you some dosh.
So, you don't care for capitalism? Mat and others should shell out thousands on cameras and editing software and hunting trips so you can be entertained? This is an extremely uninformed and unfair comment on your part."Shelby78"So why exactly do you think you should make money from videos? This should be done because you want to, or to help others.
