Youth model PCP?

Does any manufacturer currently make one? Are there any that you would recommend?

Turns out that my 5 y.o. daughter is a natural at shooting and she quickly maxed out the capabilities of the BB gun I purchased for her. I would like to get her a decent PCP that is small enough for her to properly handle yet something that she will be able to shoot for the next 5 or so years. I'm really not interested in going for a springer or multi-pump pneumatic. The only one that came to mind that semi fits the bill was the Leshiy.

Any recommendations are appreciated,

CJB

Dude I had the same problem with my daughter only 2 months ago. The p700w pistol or mrodair mk2. Same gun different name, is the one I went with. The folding stock is small and will fit her perfectly. It is a lightweight pcp thats regulated and the 22 caliber is powerful enough right out of the box for squirrel and rabbit. It is only 219 bucks shipped and the folding stock is another 25. Mine is extremely accurate. Some other optionsaare qb chief or disco after you cut down the stock a couple inches. Another member suggested a maurader pistol and just removing 2inches from the plastic stock and gluing it back together. Another stock full sized will run you 20 or 25 bucks. Good luck man you sound like an awsome dad.

My son uses a Brocock Bantam Hi Lite. It's compact, very well balanced, easy to shoot, accurate and fairly quiet. Its also plenty powerful for a .22. It's a nice little gun and because they have come out with all the new Brocock variations you can find them for a good price new or used. Take a look at AoA.

In this picture the Brocock has a rather long silencer on it, without the silencer it's less than 34" long.

I have an AA S200 and a CZ 200 S - same guns - since the pics I’ve added the Alteros regulator and tube. Guns are just incredible. Crazy accurate and great shot count at around 12FPE.

My boy is 10 and my daughter is 14 in these pics... Zach is a pretty small kid - several of his friends have shot the rifles as well and they seem to fit them well.

I’ve been very happy. I put a WTB add up and had several folks contact me.

Couple of pics so you can see how they fit the kids.

My son is a bit too little, but someday...

He'll be 5 weeks tomorrow.

Realistically, how old do they need to be?

I got my first rifle when I was 3 years old and my parents were very diligent about teaching me proper handling, safety precautions, and shooting fundamentals. It was a single-shot bolt action .22LR with peep-sights called a Chipmunk.

With so many great airguns out there that are backyard friendly and incredibly accurate - I opted to get my daughters started on airguns rather than powder-burners. I got my daughters started at 2.5 y.o. with a daisy lever action. Now 5, she only really just now maximized its potential so that is why I upgraded her to a PCP.

Thanks to all for the great recommendations!

I ended up getting her a BSA Ultra JSR (12 fpe version in .177) w/ a Chinese 3x prism red dot scope, DFL Tanto, and a Harris Bipod. It's a heck of a shooter and really well built.

I have the adult version of your gun. It is a superb gun. Contact XTX Air and get their shroud kit. It is so quiet and gives the gun a clean look. I couldn’t stand having to hang a can on the end of such a nice little gun.
