Your Top 4 Scope Picks For 100 Yd Benchrest

I’m interested in what your top 4 scope picks are for 100 Yd. benchrest target regardless of price and why? The ability to spot .22 impacts are a must. Low yardage focus is must. What power level do you use when shooting at 100 Yds?

I currently have a 6-24 power scope and find my 63 year old eyes have difficulty to clearly see the impact hole at 100 yds. LOL

As above before I got the NF NX8's it would have been the NF ATACR 35X, the 4-32 NX8 however is almost as good and nearly half the price, certainly at 100 yards you wouldn't notice the difference, 2000 yards maybe but even then only in the worst of conditions.

But to answer fully,

I used a 5-25 power scope at EBR this year and there were a couple times that I put a pellet in the 8 ring and it was hard to see. I will be using a Vortex Golden Eagle 15-60 power from now on, no problem seeing my holes any more! I would definitely recommend a scope that is at least 30x.

Night force 12x42x56br had one, sold it!?regretted it! Best scope for the money you can buy for Benchrest, only thing it’s heavy! But good enough for Ken Hicks @ EBR call him ask what he thinks?

One more for sightron 10-50 ft model focuses to 9.75 yards out to 300. Shoot benchrest at 35x back off to 10 silhouette.

I used an Athlon Ares BTR 4.5-27x50 with MIL reticle at EBR, and had no problem seeing shots in the red... I used it on 27x which is maximum power for that scope. Last year I used a Hawke Sidewinder 6.5-20x42 and it wasn't enough. Luckily the Ares is clear all the way to maximum magnification, and the reticle was very useful for windage hold off...

Good information here. Thanks guys. I’m going to guess those who are ok with 27x and below at 100 yards are younger then 50 or blessed with great vision. I have watched several reviews on the high power target scopes which include Nightforce 7-35 56, Sightron SV & SIII 10-50 60, Trijicon 5-50 56 and last but not least the Delta Stryker 5-50 56. I must admit the low power 5 to 7 area is of interest for the flexibility of close range hunting. Until you can actually touch, feel and see through any scope it is difficult to know what you truly like and can’t live without. Warranty without hassle is another important factor too. As Airgun needs go it is a unique requirement. What are your thoughts and more importantly experience?

My current one is Mil Dot, because I like the full + center instead of a center dot.

Athlon Ares ETR

Horus style reticule, with a centre dot that doesn’t cover your impact holes, or better yet a ret with a center space.
