It's a .25. Shooting same pellets from same tin. Using a bench rest. I zero it a 50yds and it puts in a nice tight group. I move up to 25yds and the pellets land no where near where I have the scope aimed. I'd expect to be a few inches hi or low but not 4" to the right AND low. No wind. I then get it zeroed at 25 and move back to 50. I'd expect right or left to be pretty close but it's way off. If I aim at the same place I get reasonable groups, not super like it once was. I have cleaned it twice now and it's behaving like it's dirty after only 4-500 shots. I checked all the mounting hardware for the scope and it was all tight just like I left it after torqueing to suggested values.
Put it on the chrono earlier and had a spread of 10 fps in ten shots. It's averaging about 906 FPS. Never went even near getting off the regulator. I have made no changes to the hammer spring regulator etc. The best description is it's consistently inconsistent.. Any way to check if the scope is not holding it's settings? I guess I'll clean it again and move the scope from the Wildcat to the Impact which I hate to do as I"ll have no rifles ready to pest shoot.
I have two steel rats sitting 100 yds away. Earlier I had it shooting consistently and I could hit those rats 4 time out of 5. Remembering those written settings I tried it again. Couldn't even tell if I was hitting the stand the rats are on.
I forgot to say the scope is the Aztec Emerald.
Any suggestions how to proceed to find a solution?? Thanks.
