Tuning Your M3 Tunes Here

Impact M3 Compact .22.

Got a pretty good tune I think. I shot over the Chrony in my shop at 20 yards and got one small hole (pellet on pellet pretty much). I still have to shoot at longer range to see how the accuracy holds at distance. The below is the information when shooting a full magazine of 28 rounds. I am also not sure how efficient it is. What is the best efficiency you see? I am getting 1.78 bar per shot with the 300 cc tank.

JSB 18.13gr

Average Speed: 943 fps

Extreme Spread: 9 fps

Standard Deviation: 2.43 fps

First Regulator: 150 Bar

Second Regulator: 110 Bar

Macro: 8

Micro: 3

Valve: 3 Lines fully exposed

Not a bad tune.

Valve calibration. I'm learning about the the M3 tuning. I noticed the that one full turn of the Valve knob moves from one line to the next (of the 4 lines). There are 6 spokes on the valve knob. I labeled them A-F starting with "A" when the valve knob is precisely on the 1st line of the stem. This has made it a bit easier for me to quickly record and return to previous settings. I had a hard time seeing the calibration lines. Maybe its something that would be helpful to you and make it easier to share tunes?

It controls the duration of the blast of air. That is a very nice feature to have when you have a complicated finicky barrel system. But if guys don’t understand these type of things, I don’t know why they would want to aggravate themselves with a complicated Impact. It is good for pellet and slug sales though.

Yeah. I bought it for the macro and micro wheels and the customization options.

I got my M3 back from FX yesterday. The factory tune looks like this:

.25 cal 600mm barrel 25.4 JSB

Macro 16

Micro 3

Valve adjuster 4.2 lines

First reg 152

Main reg 100

Avg velocity 913 with an ES of 8 and a SD 2.52

I'm sure I'll have to make some tweaks to the tune as I continue to work with the gun. I'm waiting on my CF barrel sleeve and tuner to arrive.
