What was the first airgun you acquired? Especially, if it holds a special place in your heart.
Oh yea! I love it! That look is so addicting. Youve had quite a journey with this one. After all this time, must be good seeing it in it's original glory.Had a couple of Daisy bb guns back in my adolescent years, cannot remember what model. As an adult a FWB 124d I bought in the first quarter of 1975, still have it and it is still one of my favorites. Not long after I got it, I put a Willams receiver sight on it , the a few years later took that off and put a 3-9x Beeman scope on it. Had to have it resealed sometimes in the mid 80's shot it quite a bit then put it away for a number of years. Back around 2019 I was going to get it out for my grandson to shoot and discovered the seals had gone south again so sent it to Airgunwerks to be rebuilt. When I got it back tried the scope again and was not comfortable with it so dug the old receiver sight back out and it is still on it, It just handles better with the receiver sight.
It is! It is still one of the easiest cocking, best handling of any of the guns I have. Early this year I managed to acquire, at considerable expense, a couple of much older FWB 150 target rifles. They look more like a sporter than the next generation model 300 series, and are not quite as sophisticated, but still exceedingly accurate. One is actually stamped Daisy. Both of these are from the mid 1960's.Oh yea! I love it! That look is so addicting. Youve had quite a journey with this one. After all this time, must be good seeing it in it's original glory.
