your favorite .22 bullpup...for shooting slugs between 20-25 grains

The M3 compact will shoot lightweight slugs right out of the box with 150-160 bar reg pressure. Mine slings the Javelin Gen2 21 grain at 980 and the accuracy of the gun is limited by me. Having the valve adjustment with the short barrel gives the M3 the edge in accuracy tuning over the Wildcat. I have all the M3 calibers and barrel lengths, but there’s something special about having a 25” slugger that can hit hard with MOA at 100y.

What length?
I've got both the 500mm and 600mm barrels for it. I can get those speeds with both, however with the 600mm I can fit on a 580cc bottle and relax the regulator. My setup for 23 grain NSA and Javelins is first reg at 170, second reg at 140. Power wheel on 7. I've got the hammer adjustment screw out .124" I'm using the slug power kit (probe and heavier hammer weight). With this, I'm getting 5 mags of shots.
LabRadar data showed a standard deviation of 2.53 fps and an extreme spread of 8 fps. JBM ballistics coefficient calculator showing a BC of .082.
This tune is gives 53lbs of energy at the muzzle and at 70 yards it still has 40lbs of energy. Extremely accurate.

Currently, with the reg set to 130 bar or so and a 700mm barrel....around 1075 fps. Maybe not quite that...
That's plenty fast, but if you need an excuse to buy a new gun, you have my permission!

My .22 M3 600mm shoots NSA 20.2gr @965 with reg at 120bar. Good for 100-112 shots with the 480cc bottle. Pellet-like shot count with slug benefits. I'm a big fan of the lightweight .22 slugs for this reason and I don't think they get enough attention. Seems like everyone wants to do 20 shots at 80fpe instead.

Excellent point. I too prefer going lighter for slugs. Less wear and tear on your rifle as well. I shoot the 23's in my wildcat and I have the the 800mm tensioned barrel on my .22 M3 Impact. I shoot 31.2 grain out of that one. Way more than enough power, shoots flat and accurate. And as you said pellet-like shot count. A smoking fast, light slug is devastating. I've noticed that Roelf Vorster on his YouTube channel "AirTac Hunting" seems to prefer the 21 - 26 grain slugs over the heavies. My personal opinion is if you feel the need to sling 40 grain or higher slugs, it's time to move up from .22 to a larger caliber unless you enjoy replacing parts on your $2k+ air rifle a lot.

Huben K-1. 22cal with TJ barrel setup to shoot Nelson 27.5gr slugs at 960fps.
