YOUR Bipod choice

Tom Cat has picked the Accu-Tac as his baby. How about you???

I have several clones and variations . Some better than others but none very good. like Tom said, I was a novice a few years back and didn't know any better.

Just wondering what others have chosen.

would mention Cabela's have Accu-tac B4 on for $194 and change. backordered I suspect , buuuuut!!!!

If I bought a new quality bipod today it would be one of the newer Accu-Tacs. That said, I've bought a couple Atlas bipods over the years and have no complaints (well... one doesn't lock in as crisply as the others but still...). I'm not currently interested in trying to sell one to replace with the other.

Tom has been fair in his reviews but you gotta admit that it at appears that Accu-Tac sponsers him (or at least helps him in some way). If they don't, sorry but it still looks that way to me. Not a problem for me at all. If you find a favorite and that company helps you promote it, all the better. It does make some of his reviews into commercials but I still give him credit for promoting his choice. If I'm way off base on that I'll apologize to Tom but know that I don't mean anything negative by stating this.

I have the newer Atlas PSR BT46-LW17 with pan & tilt and the new Accu-Tac BR-4 G2 with the tilt feature only. I like both and don't plan on selling either one. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. The Atlas PSR is light weight and good for the field but the Accu-Tac BR-4 is bomb proof. The Atlas PSR, when locked in the tilt/cant position can easily become loose and uneven. The Accu-Tac BR4 stays in position when the tilt feature is tightened. I like my BR-4 for the bench or the hood of a car better than the Atlas.
