For me a simple bipod and 3 point sling makes my rig complete.

My most customized/accessorized gun is my Sortie. I've done a lot of work to the action, heavily polished, sealed the shroud (used to blow pressurized air back at you when you shot it, quite loud) also installed a restrictor on the gas piston. Had to up operating pressure to overcome moderator backpressure (thus the sealed shroud and restrictor). And had to make a higher strength piston rod as the added pressure kept bending the factory one 😲 Using a ported out huma mod, the base is ported heavily, and the body has lots of pin-holes. It's pretty compact. And the gas system cuts down the report already, so the gun is actually pretty darn quiet. That's all pretty trick (to me). I'll also be having a custom barrel/gas tube band with 2 side picatinny rails for a laser and a sling mount point.

Right now, though, I just have one quick detach mount on the rear picatinny rail. And it's making me question the forward point I had intended to use. It hangs pretty freely, and I can throw it behind me. Pretty comfy like this.

I think the accessories that help me the most in my informal bench shooting are the Mono pod, extended trigger guard and the bipod. Although the level really helps at long ranges. I have a 580cc tank that is nice as well. I still need a high capacity magazine to complete the current accessory list for my gun and... I'm sure the list ends somewhere I just have not found that spot yet.

Mono pod how to.

First off, Thank You, I really like these kinds of threads, love getting some new ideas.

Along the lines of hunting I have to go along with the other guys and say a good sling that won't slide around on your shoulder, also I have been playing with my NiteSite lately and that's a kick in the a$$, (it's just the cheapest Viper without the recording ability) I have a separate IR light that I've been toying with also. ;~)

Sry, I don't have any pictures at this time ;~(

I'll see if I can take one later today and edit it in.

Taking top spot is my Rowan Engineering adjustable forend. The hamster/palm shelf is home brewed and sports a little over a 1/2lb of lead. This compensates for the high mounted heavyish scope above. The butt hook allows me to to make small adjustments to my point of aim either by changing it's location on my shoulder/arm or adjusting my position slightly to move the poa. It also hooks under me when standing and kneeling taking some of the percieved weight off the forend. Other than that there's a homemade wind flag, oversized side wheel for rang finding and pop out wheeler level to check for cant.
