Youg Heng Compressor gauge only is green to 3000 psi?

The manual says not to exceed 4350psi. They will do a bit more than that but you will be stressing them.

The auto shut off model will shut off at somewhere near 3000psi although the compressor itself is still capable of over 4350.

Actually the compressor has a burst disc, in the brass fitting on the high pressure block, that will blow at somewhere over 4500psi

The spring operated pressure valve protects the low pressure side of the unit.

bio - I'm not so sure this information is completely accurate. I've seen you mention in several different threads that the auto-shutoff model stop at 3000psi; however, there is a metal knob in the center of the gauge you can turn the shutoff point up to 4350psi/300 bar.

There is a simple auto shut off model with one set pressure, 3000 psi. There is also one where you can adjust the shut off pressure - two different devices

my problem is every gauge I have reads something different at any particular pressure I have no idea which of them are accurate. It’s just it seems like the gauge on my yong heng is about 500 psi high compared to the average of my gun gauges, which differ by one another by up to 200 psi. If any of these things are at all sensitive to a particular threshold pressure there’s no way to know when you reach it other than a burst disk blowing.
