You can’t keep a good Lgv down

A while back I was having poi issues with all my rifles (grand total of 4) and I’m ashamed to admit most of it was my fault. On closer inspection I found that the rings on a couple of rifles weren’t clamped on correctly and this I think created the poi issues. I frequently remove and swap scopes on my rifles to get the best feel and I suppose that in a couple of instances I wasn’t wearing my seeing eye dogs. This arvo I got my Lgv out and fired off two 7 shot groups at 30 metres. This was one of the rifles with the incorrectly fitted rings. 
The bottom right is the first group, still a bit off but way better than before. The second group above is with 4 clicks to the right and 4 clicks up.

I bought this 22 cal Lgv 5 years ago new and haven’t touched it except to fit the longer uglier screw in the trigger. You gotta love them.

I have a .22 cal LGV Challenger and love it. It's too bad Walther doesn't make them and the LGU anymore. Glad I have both. They are wonderful rifles.

Concur, I just put the LGV 22cal back in the shooting rotation and realized how much fun it is. I didn't know they quit making them until doing some reading. It's always been a good shooter, as it was one of my first break-barrels.



How does the synthetic version compare to the HW95 weight wise and accuracy wise in 22cal? Thought about picking up a HW95 but then figured there is nothing it offers that the LGV doesn't. But more is always better, right

Very nice shooting. Your lucky to have such as sweet gun. Have a LGU Varmint .22, an absolute favourite. Would love to get a LGV. Crow

BradCO I bought the synthetic stock version because I wanted to hunt with it at the back of our property. Down around the creek the scrub is pretty dense with a fair bit of lantana so I wouldn’t be concerned about a scratch or two. I don’t know how it compares in weight or accuracy to a HW95 as I don’t own one but this rifle is IMO very easy to carry and shoot.

Crow there are still a couple of new still in the box Walthers around in Australia. I’ve had my eye on a Master Pro in 22 cal.
