Most guys use a 5 gallon bucket. How far up they fill it depends on if you are filling an SCBA tank or filling a gun directly. I was at the range outside a couple of days ago filling directly to my guns and one gallon was fine since it was 45 degrees. In the summer if you are filling a large SCBA then the bucket should have plenty of ice in it and it should be quite full.

I have had 4+ gallons in a 5 gallon bucket and that has worked perfect. I added a little "Water Wetter" coolant suplement to mine, but it says it is not necessary. Cant hurt though.

I use a tool box that holds probably 2 gallons. I run the lines through holes drilled in the lip of the box just below the lid with return line above water so you can see flow. Small enough to move and the handle helps. Keep adding ice as it melts. Never overheated.

I use a cat litter bucket with about a gal. of water in it. It only takes me 20 to 30 seconds to top off my Mrod. Actually I am not sure if the water even helps since the temp never climbs over 35 degrees but I turn the pump on anyway.

One of the AGN folks came up with the idea of using a picnic / camping cooler. I use the one Costco sells with the retractable handle. It holds lots of water and can be used as a storage container for the compressor.

Me likes the cooler idea, Joer. I suppose you could even poke holes in the cooler's lid and send the rubber tubes through them and into the water and just set the compressor on the closed lid on top of the cooler. Lots of good brains on here.

Could someone post the link to slingshots breakdown on the Yong Heng. I am having difficulty finding it. New to PCP, looking to buy compressor for Mrod.
