Yong Heng questions

After about a total of 8 hours of operating time over 2 1/2 years, my YH failed to exceed 2500 psi. I tore it apart and the HP piston rings are shot and one of the ring separators is broken. I've ordered parts from AliExpress. Even though they included new O rings for the piston, they are so ridgid that it would be next to impossible to replace them.

I'm looking for a spare compressor. Amazon lists numerous ones from $209 to $339. Some come from third parties and some are auto shut off. I must assume that the basic compressors are all the same. Some have said that there are clones, but I can't believe that. Is there some clue as to which of the ones Amazon lists that I should look out for?

Ask the seller if they are "authentic" Yong Heng. I believe Amazon's "truth in advertising" policy is enforced, kinda. I've had mine a bit longer than yours with about 14 hrs run time and it's still doing a great job. I also have a 2nd one I got in a trade that I keep as backup/parts but I'm NOT looking forward to the inevitable time I have to rebuild it. When I bought it on Amazon I did verify it was a YH. Seller was "Smarketbuy". Good luck on your journey.

Agree with Trucker3573, definitely clones out there, original YH parts won't fit. This topic has been covered well, search the archives under "Yong Heng," for further information, especially on how to identify an authentic YH. Agree with Gerry that "smarketbuy" sells the real deal, "best-homepro" also did but out of stock last I checked. Best of Luck, WM

I searched for “smarketbuy”. Not there

Correction: I finally found him. His offering doesn't convince me anymore than some of the others. So I almost ordered from him, but he charges shipping separately and, unlike Amazon Prime, I would have to pay return shipping myself if I didn't like it or it was defective. Therefore, I ordered it from another Amazon Prime source which appears to be as genuine YH.

Hard to tell if you'll get an authentic, till it arrives, since sellers often borrow advertising pictures. Clues to authenticity, can be found in archives, search "Yong Heng" under "WorriedMan" as I've participated in several threads concerning this. Most members purchase based on other members reporting successful arrival of an authentic, think that's why "best-homepro" sold out. Hopefully, you've found another authentic YH source, please share your success. Best of Luck, WM
