Yong Heng Performance

Yesterday I filled my 60 min Scott tank from 3400 psi to 4500 psi in 14 minutes.
Is this performance considered:
A - Excellent
B- Good
C-Average
D-Below average.

I’d say that’s pretty awesome For a cheap Chinese compressor.

thats about normal for one thats still in good shape ... id check all your fittings for leaks though, id expect alittle bit quicker like 10-11 from 34, and youll probably find starting from 29-30 takes the 'same' amt of time .. no need to work it more than needed ..

Wow. I was just going to ask if my Yong Heng was able to refill a 100 cc pony tank. I guess I got my answer.

It takes mine 12 to 14 minutes also. I'm really happy with its performance & being "air independent". About 2 years now & no problems. Personally, I never try to fill to 4500psi, only 4200. Don't want mine to labor too much.

That’s excellent!!! Mine is a champ after 2 years of relatively heavy/regular use.

Not having to drive to the scuba shop and only getting a 4300psi fill is "priceless"!
I use the Royal Purple compressor synthetic oil on it and I never let the temperature go above 45 degrees Celsius.
Hope it will last a long time.

I filled my 30 min tank to 250 bar/ 3600 psi only. I don't think the Yong Heng is a heavy duty machine.

I use the Royal Purple oil too and never let it go over 50 C.

I am the same, I cut it short at about 4100-4200 , just makes me feel better. The second stage is so small, pumping a tank to 45 is a lot of work.

I’ve decided to go with one of these with auto shut off. Getting an add on water/oil separator.

A+ Mine has been going strong for 4 years now, filling a Guppy.

Let me throw this in. To help it last longer even though it can do that now. I would not worry about
how long it takes. I would watch the temp & shut it down around 3800 psi. Let it cool down and rest for
a few min and then fill it on up. These small compressors are Running on there total limit. I think you will
get more life from it, filling in steps as this.
