Yong Heng Not engaging for a few seconds

I have a Yong Heng probably 3 years old and recently this winter has begun to act weird whereby when powered on and connected it will run about 30-60 seconds before the pressure engages and starts building pressure. After it takes off with pressure building, it works like always, pumping up to 300bar no issues. Should I run till it pops or get ahead of this issue and tear it down and rebuild now?

Kinda strange. Do you have a large moisture/oil trap that's taking a while to pressurize? Mine takes 10-15 seconds to build pressure to overcome my filter AND one way check valve before the tank starts filling, that's why I ask.

No on the large moisture trap... It just started this about 2 weeks/ 3-4 direct air gun refills ago. Temperature in garage when it first started was about 15 degrees at the time and I thought that may have been it. Temp is 50 now.

Check your quick disconnect. On mine sometimes when filling it does seal tight until a few sec after being pressure then the pressures will seal it. Even though the quick disconnect is fully seated in, it doesn't seal tight till the pressures tries to push it out.

Don't forget to put a little silicone oil on the o-ring in the quick connection fitting once in a while too.

If you're still using the factory pressure gauge I wouldn't trust it
