yong heng models... have questions

Not quite sure what you are asking but I had an autostop YH that developed a leak in the gauge so I got a standard non auto stop gauge to replace it. I never used the auto stop feature anyway and I always bled the system to release moisture, immediately after closing the tank valve, with compressor still running to purge moisture. Then the coolant pump can be left running for 30 seconds or so to cool the cylinders down a bit. I have never missed the autostop.

yep. i understand all that. i am wondering if the model that does not shut off automatically at 300 bar will get up to 4500 psi. and then be able to shut it down the way you are referring to.

I have the one with set pressure. i set to the pressure i want and it always stop and i dont have a problem. Some ppl say their brust disc will go if they let it too high. But thats about it. It shouldnt damage your compressor. They are made to stop. Some ppl believe if you bleed it then shut off its less wear on the compressor but that isnt proven. Why would manufacture make it auto stop if it will damage the compressor?

I set to desire pressure. turn on, closed bleeder. It builds up pressure to desire pressure and shut off. It will make a beep sound. I come and close the tank, then bleed the compressor. Simple as that. I dont have to keep coming and checking on it every 5 mins.

The Simple Version, which does not have a water separator so you don't want it, the Hardcopy/Hardcover and Set Pressure units all go to 4500psi. Although they are rated to 4350psi. The auto stop will stop somewhere around 3000psi probly not a good thing to get this one as it may stop a bit early and you can't fill higher without mods.

I never exceed 4200psi as I have had more than my share of burst discs blow. Also I try to take it easy on these little things so they will last. I have one that turned two, a couple months back, and was still werqing when I retired it. It was an early model with the weak piston so I bought a piston set and I retired it before it had problems. I'll probly fix it someday

This information is incorrect. The auto-stop version is set to stop at 300 bar. The sensor on the gauge is on the 300 bar mark. If the gauge is accurate the auto-stop is accurate. If you want to fill to a higher pressure, It's as simple as disconnecting the wire from the gauge to the loom.
