Yong Heng Maintenance and Review Update Video (37 min run time)

I see many questions about these compressors and I've watched several videos on them. I've found this to be one of the more in informative videos. However, don't expect the video to cover all areas of the compressor. The presenter claims this is his second Yong Heng and he's discussing his experience with it after 26 months of use. The title says "update" and he references an earlier video so he likely has others still up on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP2BnDSPneI Hopefully some of you find it useful.

I am in no way affiliated with this YouTube channel or person presenting the information.

If you know these compressors you realize he has no idea what he is talking about sometimes and actually breaks the piston on one of his vids during assembly/disassembly.

Edit; Not something you do if you know what you are doing and if you don't know what you are doing you should not be teaching others what you don't know.

I don't really trust or care for his vids because of this.

Still if you understand these things there is some good information in there also.

@Biohazardman I saw that part and he references that incident in this video. As you appear to be a lot more experienced with this unit, what he has to say may be rudimentary to you. I'm not the handy type, so for someone like myself, watching others go through the motions is helpful in gaining a better understanding. The idea that I can watch someone else make mistakes and learn is a bit more encouraging. It's almost like watching pesting videos that include missed shots along with heads shots. But ultimately, what do I know? I'm not a small engine repairman.

ive seen a couple of his vids, all he does is nonstop shoot and make videos, a testament that the yongheng is pretty durable if it survives his type for a year lol  .. somebody like that needs a big gas powered compressor, the yong heng is more for casual users, beat it and itl last for a year or so, still not bad for the money imo ...

😂 I needed that laugh. Thanks.

"it'll last for a year or so"

"It" has lasted a lot longer than that for many.

I'm on year 3 with mine. Just finished filling a 74cf tank from empty. Of course, that took 4 evenings of pumping so I could avoid the thermal shutdowns on the motor.

I've replaced the piston, multiple seals, and just about rebuilt it in that time, but it does work. I now only fill to about 4000 PSI or a little less as the compressor just doesn't seem to like full pressure fills at 4500 psi. I find there are fewer problems if I just fill more often to lower pressures.

They do work, you can work on them yourself, but do be prepared to wait for parts from AliExpress and up to 2 months shipping time. Other than that, for $250, they work great.
