Interesting that the ad says "Lifetime Warranty" in one place then "2 year warranty" on the picture of the item. Not sure what you are looking at, but this is the listing you want: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224288811755
I should have followed up on this a long time ago, better late than never sometimes. I received the Yong Heng compressor Hardcover version from ebay best-homepro seller. It is original Yong Heng based on the fact that it has the metal plate with all the specs on one side and Yong Heng printed on the other. Really well packed, no damage. Been breaking it in with Secolube 500. No issues. Been keeping temp below 55 degrees C. Don't have an SCBA tank yet, but that is next on the list. Thanks guys for pointing me to a good seller.Grungy,
Nicely done. WM
Hi onpoint. I just now checked the model number on my Yong Heng hardcover version from best-homepro. It is YH-QB01. HOWEVER, I don't think the model number narrows down wheather or not it's a hardcover version or not. I logged on to ebay last night looking at what best-homepro had in stock and all they have currently is the auto shutoff version. So it looks like you just have to keep checking back to see when they actually have a listing that specifically states ******Hardcover Version****** in the description. I saw a lot of auto shutoff verions from lots of sellers, but not a single one that I would trust to be the hardcover version. Keep checking. Best-homepro did right by me but I didn't buy until it specifically said hardcover version. Airguns as a hobby these days with shortages and stuff requires a lot of patience sometimes. Personally I would only settle for the hardcover version. Less parts to go wrong. Besides, the auto shutoff version gives one the feeling or impression that you can fire up the compressor and just walk away without watching your temp and pressure guages like a hawk. Walking away from a running high pressure compressor with a tank on the other end is a way bad idea. I guess you already know that or you wouldn't be looking for the hardcover version in the first place. I'm just re-enforcing your decision and saying "don't settle for any other version of the Yong Heng". Hang in there.I just did a search for best-homepro and they have 3 units in the store. All 3 have no mention of hardcover. Model says YH-QB01. Is this the one I want.
WorriedMan, you helped me BIG TIME. Biohazardman did to. I'm probably forgetting to mention others that helped as well. Thank you all! The thought of having to deal with returning a 36 pound air compressor, the shipping, the possible arguing back and forth between the seller and myself, and all that crud... With me it could mean an unexpected visit to my VA shrink.Grungy,
Sounds like it all worked out for you, if I helped in any way, was glad to do it. Biohazardman helped me big time when I started, appreciate the thought of returning the favor. WM
How do you get the warranty?I got mine from Walmart. You also can get an extended warranty from them too. May be worth it.
I placed the order for it on Walmart's online website. It asked if I wanted to have an extended 3 year warranty for $35.How do you get the warranty?
Thanks for the explanation. Blew the top of the unit/cylinder into the ceiling or blew the face of the gauge into the ceiling? So what was the fix, new gauge?I would skip the set-pressure version. The cutoff runs line voltage through the manometer. I had the manometer arc and little air tube in it (forget the official name) got an arc hole in it that blew the top up into the ceiling. Just keep an eye on the fill and shutoff when done - runtimes are in minutes so shouldn't be to hard to be vigilant.
