Yong Heng - dual inline filters

I'm running my Yong Heng with the original supplied inline filter and then I have a 3 stage filter I bought between that one and the fill tank. Is that overkill or putting too much stress on the pump? After 10 minutes the temp on the gauge stabilized at 54.0C to 54.2C. I have about 10 gallons of water and a fan running on the pump. The first inline filter is warm (not uncomfortably hot) to the touch, the second one has a slight temperature increase but not very much. I also have the second filter higher than the first.

These pumps go up to 4500 psi.
As for filters? I have the small one that came with the fill line, a small 2 stage filter after that, and a lagers gold filter with ceramic media .
You can never have too dry air! IMHO!

As for you temp? 54c is fine! Instructions say not to exceed 65c.

I also installed a flow indicator. (Cheap one off ebay)

I'm currently building a Radiator cooling system to keep my water cool.

I agree with most of the above post. I PREFER below 50 and mine will usually stay in that range but 54 doesn't seem like it should be a concern. I'm not sure anyone would know what the perfect optimum temperature would be but I believe lower is better. As to filters, I used the stock small black filter inline ahead of a Diablo with molecular sieve for a long time but I've recently replaced that arrangement with one of the Tuxing double gold filters. Only a couple of runs with that but it seems to be working well-moisture is being bled off mostly by the first tower with just a tiny bit noted from the second. Crushed ice in the water will lower temperature, but whether such is necessary is much debated. I use ice for hot days and for any longer run times.

My manual says 75C is the max temp for the unit although I try to keep mine below 60 to 65C that's 140-150F. Manual also says water temp should be 50-70C. Once again I have to disagree as 70C or 160F water is not going to cool the unit at all. My guess is they meant 50-70F for the water as that would be reasonable and is the temp mine runs at most of the time.

I used to run mine with 2.5 gallons of water and would toss a half gallon jug of ice in the reservoir to keep the temps down. Now I run 4gallons of water and a 360mm radiator with three 120mm fans to do the same thing for the twenty minutes I usually run it.

No you are not stressing the unit at all or the temperature would be much higher.

I wish the area where my YH is sitting looked as good as your spot. I have to step over a couple of things always in the way and usually stand on one foot while it runs. But run it still does. Thankfully, they are pretty fast so the standing on one foot just gets me some good exercise.
