Yong Heng Compressor Oil Capacity

Manual says .5-.6 liters. After my initial change at around an hour of use I change it far less often as it does not get as dirty. Manual says to change the oil after 100 hours but it will be really dirty at 5 to 10. You will have a hard time seeing the oils condition using royal purple. I would suggest a an hour meter. Two quarts of oil should last at least a couple of years.

Home depot's full synthetic compressor oil works well and is clear, so you can see when it gets dirty. My compressor broke, but that's because the piston literally broke apart. not an oil fail, a design problem. When rebuilding I didn't see any wear where the oil might have failed..

Anyway, I usually change when it gets dark. One bottle of compressor gets about one and a half fills. It's a 16 ounce bottle. $7.00

Oil is cheap. Change often, your compressor will love you for it.

I want to change to an alternative to Royal Purple that's CLEAR and just as good. Any suggestions that can be purchased locally at NAPA or O'Reilly's?

Not sure it’ll help, but sometimes my local hardware shops like O’reilly’s, Ace hardware, etc. will have “ premium” trans-hydraulic oil from Harvest King, which works great for me. It’s pretty cheap too. I picked a gallon up for $25 and it seems to last a bit longer and is easy to tell when it is dirty.

I have, it's not quite accurate but is +- yes/no. So I figured CE750 in my LPA and splash lubricated is good enough. I taped three butt hairs to clear tape, centered the central butt hair, and then used the remaining two as a min/max indicator. All were correctly aligned to the red center-flll circle. I can confirm the oil level is aligned with the central butt hair and exactly between the min and max butt hairs. I also rotated it to ensure there is no spiral off-cam centering. I can confirm that my oil level in my LPA Yong Heng running CE750 is indeed filled correctly as I read the center-line butt hair at the bottom of the meniscus.
