Yong Heng burst disc fitting

After 3 yrs I had the 1st problem with my compressor- the burst disc ruptured! Do they still build them like they used to? 😀

I tried to remove the ruptured disc and, after stabbing my fingers and destroying my work bench repeatedly, I still can't get the bad disc out of holder for it. Does anyone know where I can purchase another one?

Without it I cannot build up much pressure!😉 Thanks,

Bruce

I have one that is stuck as well so ordered one for myself. Mine was over two years old before it had the problem of the disc getting stuck although it blew the disc twice before. I found if I only filled to 4100-4200psi I did not have that problem.

Not sure about them building them like they used to my second which I bought as a back up died within a couple hours of use. No locktight on the second stage piston and so it backed out and destroyed itself banging on the head. ;^( Although a twelve dollar part and some filing on the new part, as it was a few thousandths to long, took care of the problem.

I had to hunt around on aliexpress for a bit to find a burst disc and fitting that actually was available for purchase.

Yes I looked at that before I bought mine. Look at it closely the inner part of the unit not sure but looks like it is a slip fit in the threads!! I really don't see how it could hold any pressure at all unless the inside is threaded also. Really poor design if it is. So I can't be sure it is a valid part.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. It is the exact same part that is sold on the other site. They seal by the crush washer under the fitting.

.... Look at it closely the inner part of the unit not sure but looks like it is a slip fit in the threads ....

This thing does the sealing in the same way as those white plastic sealing washers do. I have replaced the burst disc of my YH once and shared your doubt. I then asked the Yong Heng people whether a plastic seal should be there. The answer is negative.

What I was talking about is that the threads looked separate from the rest of the unit. Kind of like the hex part slid up and down inside the threads. Probly it's just looks but I did not trust it cuz sometimes from China what looks is.

So where did you buy yours? As far as I know, YH is the only brand that uses this M10x1 size fitting. The ad photo is the same image as the one from the overpriced YH store page. Generic burst disc fittings from tank valves and other brands like Tuxing, won't fit. I have one of these as a spare and it is the same part as the original.

If you want to use your pump while waiting for parts, find or buy an M10x1 bolt and block the hole. Make sure that the white nylon seal is ok and don't overtighten it. You won't hurt anything as long as you keep an eye on the gauge. There may be another burst valve on your fill adaptor anyway.
