Yong Hang poping a breakers?

Hi guys ...I just received my YH compressor, I set it up , everything looks like it’s working fine I filled up couple small tanks for my FX & L2
However when I try to top off my SCUBA tank (great white) I popped a breaker (twice) so compressor is 110v so my question is do I need a dedicated circuit for this kind of compressor? Has any body has any problems like this and how did you fix it? I really appreciate you you help be safe.

Yes hook it up to on a circuit with a higher amp breaker. You're going to want a bigger bucket of water and/or a lot of ice fyi

And no drop cord. Helps if nothing else is running on the same circuit while pump is in use also.

You need to be plugged into a 20A circuit with no other loads running and as above extension cord not allowed. Stop if the temp gets over 60c.
There is always a chance that there is some other problem. Let us know other details.

I don't know what the humidity is where you live but you should look into a larger air dryer.

Thank you very much guys I’m in California it’s 30% humidity and will find a single 20A .

If you don't have a dedicated 20A plug (in your garage) for a first aid you can get a 20 or 30 Amp extension cord in HomeDepot, tell the electrical associate that you want to tap into the dryer plug.
I made my own power cord, but my wife kicked me out from the basement (oil odour from YH) so I made a split from a 2x30A plug in the garage.

Here's my humid Florida garage set-up, doubt you'll need the bronze water separator, but the gold (3-media cartridge) should help with moisture control. Keeping guns and tanks above compressor, when filling, also helps with moisture control. Members report fan blowing from back to front of compressor also aids in cooling. Water-filled lemon juice bottles are frozen solid, just like Sqwirlfugger suggests. WM

I agree with this and be sure you start the compressor with the bleed valves open every time. The compressor can not start with back pressure.

Make sure you're starting the compressor with both bleed valves open. Open both, one on the right and left. Start the compressor then close the valves. A friend was having the same issue with his and after doing this his stopped popping his breakers. Hope this helps!
