(Yet another) New gun post

I have tried a lot of different high-end PCPs since I first got involved with adult airguns back in 2008; Steyr, Edguns, FX, Weirauch to name a few.

This time I went in another dirrection. I have wanted a high-power .177 suitable for long-range for YEARS (due to local restrictions) and about 5 weeks ago I finally put down a deposit for my new beast.

Today it’s ready and getting shipped out to me.

Beaumont Grizzly .177 70+ joule (1060 FPS with 21gr bullets). Can barely wait to test this out at 100 meters! I’ll get back with more asap.

21gr piledrivers is said to have proven good on this platform before. NSA 21 gr is another option I’m going to test out (along with the 18 and 15.5gr versions).

What scope are you planning on for it? If it shoots as well as it should it deserves some top glass!

That's a lot of joules too. 

Check my math, but that comes to 5000 € / 51 ft lb = 98 € per ft lb.. of energy..

I hope she's super accurate and I really like the idea of a 21 gr slug.. should fly flat, use less air and be quiet too..

I just ordered up a box of 19gr .22 caliber NSA slugs. I have 300 21gr slugs already on hand.

They shot decently out of my AA S410 TDR. I'm hoping they shoot better out of my new S510 XS Ultimate Sporter 22.

Have you seen the videos by Cedric (Toufazfou) and the 172 cal special build? He has video of him doing a 208 yard head shot on a ground squirrel and several kills between 150 -170 yards. He uses 24 grain slugs that he casts.

Looking forward to your review I have used the H&N 21gr piledriver in my regulated S510 Extra FAC .177 with great results so far. Longest «stretch» so far is 200m.

Bob, let us know how those slugs do in your new AA rig.. I may bite off on a S510 in 177 if they do well in yours.. sounds like that would be a great set up..

Yes it’s a lot of €$ for an airgun but not €5k, they also do a 15% off these days.

I have a Delta Optical 3-24x56 that I’m going to mount.

Anyone know of a solid and stable bipod that mounts directly to an UIT / Anschutz rail? I have my eyes on the one from PGM Précision, but looking for other options.

Delta optics make excellent scopes nice choice there! I have the stryker 4.5-30x56 on my red wolf.

I had to get a Anschutz to Picatinny adaptor for my Sinclair which is a F-Class bipod and is definitely solid and stable when mounted but it’s wide if that’s a issue.

He's in Norway, so not far from the manufacturer.

Must admit, here's one spot where I think the Europeans really outshine the folks in the US. This is a bespoke (Custom / hand made) stock. Hand selected, carved, and finished. I do hope the gun lives up to the stock, the examples were incredible.
