50 yards with the FX Bobcat seems a little like cheating ;-) . It took all of about ten seconds from the time I spotted the ground hog, till he was doing an eternal dirt nap.

The bobcat .30 is racking up a nice kill list so far Dave. I haven't shot for 2 days now and I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms!

actually. no - those are just marks from leaning up against a plastic lawn chair. The chair has been out in the sun for a couple of years, and is kind of oxidized - leaves marks on everything, but they do wipe off.
This shot was taken kneeling (in the typical position). I have been waiting to see the first ground hog, and to be honest, this deal was SO fast, that it was a bit anti-climatic ;-)

I think I's wait on the young of the year ground hogs to start popping out in a month or so. Them older ones can be pretty tough to get down unless you bake it for an hour or so.
