xisico cx3 compressor not building pressure ?

it pumps some pressure, but its not enough to register on the gauge.
when i crack the bleed screw, a small amount comes out.
i have cleaned the valve on the bottom about 5 times and stretched the spring a little.
i have checked all fittings with soapy water spray.......nada !!
it is pulling air in the intake filter on the head as it should be.

2 months out of warranty & about 16hours of run time.

any ideas ??

Following. Been thinking of getting one.

pulled the head and removed alot of grease on the reeds and cylinder wall and top of piston.

removed the safety valve and cleaned.

still no pressure

I thought the xisco compressor was oil lubed? I know the first ones that were shipped had grease but had been converted to oil.

yes mine was converted, i guess there was some left after the clean-out ??

Did you replace the cylinder ring? Did you replace the flat washer on top of the first stage? They come with rebuild.parts.



Also, taken the bleed screw out and give it a light touch with Emery cloth or steel wool. They can build up a little corrosion which would prevent a good seal.

only thing i got was a bag of orings, burst disks and tools.....

no air leaks anywhere, checked with soapy water while running every possible 

place it could leak.

If you are unable to find a leak at fault the water-less, oil-less disposable compressors are only made to last about 20 hours so you are likely near or at the end of life for the unit. It will probly need to be replaced. At the very least it will need a complete rebuild rebuild including the piston o-rings and any gaskets involved. The glorified electric hand pump compressors do a bit better but still need their piston o-rings replaced fairly often.
