Pretty sure its made there. Air Venturi probably ask to change some things(exterior) since they order it in bulk.

You can find similar looking compressors from 3-4 different places pretty easily. While I’m sure there are some shared parts, they are made/built in different places and to different requirements. It’s part of my job to know, I’m the product manager for AV.

Hey Tyler I am curious did you guys consider putting an hour meter on the unit or would that drive the cost up too much? Also I read the manual since I am considering getting one and it didn't day how often the water needs to be replaced just he oil any insight on that?

For what it's worth, I can categorically tell you that most of the larger USA suppliers of our PCP compressors like AV and others have signed "confidentiality agreements" setup exclusively with the manufacturer. Both parties could not and would not tell you regardless. This is to protect both sides business interests. China is not a free market capitalist nation and having been there as a USA manufacturer, it is also a large manufacturing complex that can and do have many manufacturers that specialize in certain items I.E. die cast compressors components etc. These sub manufacturers provide their items to multiple OEM's I.E. Tuxing and many others. The pick list available to companies worldwide will certainly differentiate their chosen model from visually similar ones. The best you will ever conclude is they share a common DNA.

We discussed it, but ultimately decided not to. It certainly would've impacted the cost of the unit, and there are plenty available for relatively cheap on Amazon that would serve most peoples needs.

On the water, the reason it's not mentioned is because it really depends on the water you use (and some are running a water/coolant mix). Using distilled water will be fine for a very long time, but using tap water, you're likely to start to see build up in the water lines if the unit sits unused for a decent length of time. If you're using distilled water, you can go over a year without changing it, but a year is a good interval to go by.

Thank you for the reply distilled water it is! Wow Aa whole year. You're right plenty of after market hour meters to do the job. What able air filters does PA sell those I didn't notice on on the site but maybe I didn't look hard enough

We have a secondary intake filter for it called the Dry Air Intake filter...but I suspect you're looking for a secondary output filter. In which case, Hill just announced a new output filter today that should be very good. Just a matter of when we will see them state side but it should be soon. That's what I would get if you feel you need one.

Page 9 of the manual says this:

Output Air Filter Replacement
Items needed:


• Phillips head screwdriver• Pliers
• Crescent wrench• Silicone grease

NOTE: It is recommended that you replace the Air Filter every 25 hours of use.

So I am actually wondering which is proper air filter to get when it needs to be replaced since it seems like it could be a few times a year sort of thing if needed every 25 hours.
