XFT OKC March 4 2023 come on out!

OKCGC Xtreme Field 2022 Match Dates: March-4th. June-3rd. Sept.-2nd
<RULES>
We want to further the sport of Xtreme Field Target AirGun Shooting, by encouraging friendly conduct, safety, fairness, and participation by all shooters.
Xtreme/ HUNTER FT DIVISION:
The Hunter Division rules are intended to promote accessibility to the sport of Xtreme Field Target. As such the rules shall enforce limits on the type of allowed equipment and shall allow for a broad range of competitor physical fitness and conditioning.
EQUIPMENT:
• Rifles: shall not exceed .30 caliber and a maximum of 100 FPE (foot pounds of energy) measured at the muzzle. We feel 40-45 FPE measured at the muzzle will be the minimum needed to knock over the targets backwards and be resettable.
• Ammo: any mass manufactured pellet, NO SLUGS.
• Forend: depth is limited to a maximum of 6” measured from the center of barrel
to the lowest part of the rifle forward of the pistol grip.
• No shooting jackets, harnesses, straps or shooting gloves that restrict movement can be worn.
• Shooter will not be allowed to wear any braces under their clothes that restrict his/her body movement.
• Binocular/monocular are highly recommended to be used by shooting squad (spotter) to distinguish hits and misses only. But cannot be used for spotting information for the shooter. Spotter can only tell his shooter if it’s a HIT or a MISS.
TARGETS:
• Targets self-resetting type. The target has to tilt backwards to count as a hit.
Hitting the faceplate is a miss. Hit the KZ and it will tilt backwards.

• The target must tip over to be counted as a hit. A hit on the kill zone paddle without the target tipping is a miss. (“A low FPE will cause less inertia force on the paddle”).
SEATING:
• Any form of SEAT may be used. No back or arm supports, the seat may NOT be
used to support the gun while shooting.
• Bum bags are allowed.
SIGHTS:
• Optical sights of any reticle style may be used with NO LIMIT ON POWER.
• The scope parallax, elevation and windage can be changed during the event. SHOOTING:
• A rifle sling attached to the rifle may NOT be used.
• Adjustable components on the stock may not be adjusted during a match. No
butt hooks or add-on thigh-rests are allowed.
• Monopods, shooting sticks, or bipods with a maximum 1-1/2” base may be used.
No tripods are allowed. Any such aids must rest on the ground and may not be driven (embedded) into the ground. These devices cannot be attached to the gun, they must release from the gun as the gun is picked up and must not be connect to the gun with studs or devices that restrict gun movement. A single stop may be used in front or behind, but no other anchoring mechanisms are permitted.
• One or more forced position shooting lanes may be incorporated into a match. FORMAT:
• Targets will be placed from 20-100 yards.
• All target distances will be given in yards.
• Kill zones will be of various sizes and shapes.
• Ties will be settled 2 ways:
1. Longest streak or first miss to be decided at each match.
2. Match director will be the final vote in any tie or undecided topic.

Very similar rules to what we're seeing at all of the extreme ft matches, nationwide. I like that. I also like that it appears those in charge of all these matches are trying really hard to keep everybody shooting in one class. In my opinion, that's good for growth. It encourages healthy camaraderie by cutting off all the bickering of "my class is harder than yours" AT THE ANKLES!
