I bought this .25 Rapid Air Weapons HM1000x in 2016 and have only managed to shoot about 1000 rounds through it, which is why I have made the sad decision to sell it, and maybe get something smaller and semi-automatic. It is extensively modified and tuned by Alan Zasadny, from whom I bought it new. (Allan is an excellent and rather well known airgunsmith)
Mods, tunes and add-ons are:
– Barrel shortened and recrowned (I can't remember to exactly what length. It doesn't compromise accuacy though)
– Custom full length barrel shroud/moderator made by Allen (this thing barely whispers)
– Carbon fiber 480cc air bottle gives 60 good shots at current settings. Comes with fill adapter.
– Bushnell Elite 4-16×40 scope + rings zeroed @35yd
– The barrel has been mechanically aligned with the scope
– Completely accurized and tuned by Alan Zasadny
– trigger set to 5.03 oz. All components blueprinted & polished
The original stock is immaculate because I only used it a few times before I built my own. The same cannot be said of the action though; it does have some scratches here and there as shown in the pictures.
Overall, it works really well and is incredibly accurate. I was never much into target shooting so I don't have nice groups to show off, but I can tell you that shooting .22 casings at 50yds gets rather boring, and you find yourself doing things like trying to shoot the primer of a 20ga (It works
) . According to Allan, it shoots 25.4grain JSB Kings at 890fps, that is, 44.7 fpe. Power is never an issue!
