Gonna keep names out of this, in case there’s something I’m missing here. That way nobody is shamed unnecessarily.
So, I run across a WTB post here on the AGN recently. I had the item the buyer was seeking and started communication back and forth, leading to buyer saying he’ll take it.
Here’s the hitch. Buyer says he’s bringing item back through customs and that they tax heavily. Will I list item here as defective and list price at half what he agreed to pay. Says customs is researching post to verify purchase price.
Huh? What?
I eventually said no, I’m not doing that, that I was unfamiliar with customs, etc.
Is this some kind of a scam? Because it makes absolutely no sense to me.
Can anyone explain?
