I used to be into benchrest rimfire shooting and got out of it a couple years ago. My son in law talked me into trying the air rifles and I bought a Gauntlet 2 .25 cal. to see if I would like it. The gun shot ok but I was getting a lot of fliers with it no matter what pellet I tried and I could tell it was wasting a lot of air with poor shot count also. With no way to adjust it, I ordered the super tune kit from Hajimoto. While waiting for the kit, I took the rifle apart and polished the air tube, hammer etc. I also noticed the air port in the barrel was smaller than the port in the action, so I removed the barrel and milled out the barrel port to match the action port. I had also made some new cones and air stripper inside the shroud and a couple of barrel supports with o-rings , I machined them out of aluminum. I also put the barrel in the lathe and squared it up and cut a new crown on it and machined a threaded insert for the shroud and then machined a moderator out of aluminum with K-baffles.

I got the Hajimoto kit for it yesterday evening and got it installed. I got up this morning and set up my chronograph at my backyard bench and started testing it with some Hades 26.54 grn. pellets. After a little adjusting I got it shooting the Hades at 900 fps. and it is absolutely a different rifle now.....it will eat out the bullseye at 50 yards with no fliers now....:)
With this kit installed and adjusted, I could not believe the difference it made...the gun is way more quiet now and my shot count has more than doubled....All I can say is Thank You Hajimoto for making this kit available for these rifles....:)

Here's a pic of the rifle and a bullseye with 8 shots at 50 yards.......

What's the top speed you can get with JSB 33.95 grain on that Super Tune kit?

My mostly unmodified G2 25 does about 850 fps on those.

It sounds like you are already good for accuracy, but a barrel band usually helps a lot on these guns. My favorite Haji upgrade on my G2 25 is the "no-ring" for the pellet probe.
I've got some of the 33.95 MK2's but I haven't tried them yet...after the way it's shooting the hades I called it good to go and left it alone...lol

The pieces I made for the barrel inside the shroud act as a barrel stiffener, I actually milled out the barrel band that was made in the forearm as it was putting pressure against the barrel with the bipod installed, it just has the band that's attached to the bottle block. I seen a guy on youtube was using a o-ring delete kit and it looked to me to be chainsaw gas tubing. I got some yellow gas tubing for a chainsaw and that's what I use on the probe instead of the o-rings....it works really good, you just have to get the right size tubing for the probe.

I have a 50 yard range set up in my backyard with a concrete bench that I used for rimfire benchrest practice... Me and my son in law cleared out a lane in the woods so we can shoot 100 yards. I just finished putting in some posts and a backer board at 100 yards and had to try the gauntlet at a hundred...I have to say that I'm amazed with the accuracy I'm getting with this rifle shooting the Hades pellets, I adjusted the scope with a few sighters on the bare board and then shot a five shot group at a target dot....I know it's nothing to brag about comparing to a centerfire, but for a 400.00 air rifle with a 89.00 Walmart scope on it....I'm pretty damn happy with it....and to think, I'm getting ready to buy a new Impact MK 3....LOL

The hole in the bottom of the dot is two shots in the same hole.......I will not bore everyone anymore posting pics of groups....lol

Very nice shooting (y) 1/4" groups at 50 yds (y) Are you kidding me "nothing to brag about" that 100 yd group is good enough in my book I'd take it and be satisfied but then again I'm a Simplemann;).
Thanks.......I think I'm getting ready to dive down another rabbit hole.......DEEP........but, at least the ammo is not 1400.00 a case like it was in the rimfire game...LOL

How is the cocking effort and the trigger with the kit installed? I almost bought one several times just to install the kit.
I can tell that the cocking is lighter as the kit comes with a new hammer spring. I have re-worked the trigger in mine, I have it set at a safe couple oz's, it passes the rubber mallet test. The Hajimoto kit has made a night and day difference in the way this gun shoots, I would highly recommend anyone with a Gauntlet to install this kit....you will be Glad you did....;)

My Gauntlet 30 (Essentially a Gauntlet 2) shoots right along with my both of my other 30 cals using JSB pellets, an FX M3 700mm and an RTI Prophet 2. It shoots my NOE cast slugs better than either of the other two guns and for $1800 less than I paid for my FX. Certainly not as compact, tuneable, light weight, pretty and refined as the FX or the STI but well worth the money paid.
