would you shoot it?

Shoot it? No.
I'd befriend it and find out if it had any influence over it's ordinary brothers and sisters.
Maybe we could work something out

Seriously though, that is pretty cool.

kind of like a unicorn if you ask me.
WE have true white squirrels in Bowling Green KY . Not Albino . they are mostly on Campus and one other city park . They are very well taken care of .
IF you trap one it is only a $5k fine if you shoot one it is much higher . At least that is what a cop / member at my gun club said.

not at all.....if it came here, i would welcome it with as much sunflower seeds as it could eat.
as long as it didnt destroy my farm equipment wiring. and if it did, i would live trap it and take to my wifes place
and set it free into a well protected area. (y)

There are white squirrels close to me but I have not seen one in my yard yet. They are mostly about 1/4 mile away in an area we go past when I take my dog for a walk. I don't see them daily but about once a week. I saw one recently that had a grey streak down the middle of it's back. They do not have red eyes so I don't think they are albinos. They did not get close to my yard until they started building houses in the area where we mainly see them. That seems to have pushed them some and I've seen one in both neighbors yards, just not mine yet. When my oak trees develop acorns they may start stopping by. For now, at least, I plan to harvest only the greys.
