Well, my impression of OP's post is he is trying to reduce the cost of filling his gun/bottle by going into business. As some have stated it could be a "business", return on investment is meager but certainly will help reduce the cost over time. In case many wonder the reason dive shops and paintball shops fill customers' bottles is to bring business in, it's a lost leader so they can sell things. Because of that many of us are suggesting to forego the hassle and get a proven setup at at low cost. Which direction OP will pick is up to him, I've filled my SCBA tanks more times than I can count even in just last month or so with my low cost YH compressor.
Call me anti social but I don't want to deal with people coming to my house for 20 bucks to recope $5000 dollars of up front cost. Partnering with a business is even worse because now the compressor is at the shop so I don't have access to it any time I want or have to wait for customer's bottles to be filled and compressor operated by other people. F*&% that! If I spent $5000 on a compressor no one else is touching it! BUT then you are stuck at the shop filling bottle for other people which equals to not shooting which defeats the entire purpose of getting the compressor to begin with!
With my cheap setup I fill anytime I want as long as it's not late at night and bothering anyone, it's pretty loud. Word of advise: DON'T DO IT(money losing business)! IT'S NOT WORTH IT! But hey, it's a free country.
