Worlds biggest varmint?

As i recall from the misty back regions of my foggy brain, these animals are related to rats and other rodents.
You probably do not want to shoot one with a .177 or .22, that would just make them angry.

Those capybaras are pretty cool and from south America. We have them here in Texas on a couple high fence ranches around uvalde. It's down south.

I just watched Princess Bride! 
Coyotes are varmints and they get big. Varmint is such a wide definition, this post has the spirit of varmint equating to rodent. That would be the capybara or the Chupacabra

My post was mostly a joke. A coyote is defined as a varmint and technically bigger than capybara.

Although you may have been joking, a full grown Capybara is MUCH larger than a full grown Coyote. Yes, technically.

Doesn't change much in your technical world. I would be the first to admit otherwise. Besides I take my experience from actually shooting Coyotes with airguns.

I've never shot a capybara. But I have shot a few Coyotes.
I suspect from actual experience I can make the right shot first with an airgun on either.
Update varmint to wolf. I have not shot one. A black bear could technically be a varmint.
Overall, Varmint is bigger than capybara by definition but the definition is weak. The definition is not a rodent of any kind.
