I took my tanks in to get filled. When I went to pick them up the guy said, "don't worry about it, it's on us. We didn't write it up correctly and it takes too long to fix it."

I'd have to fill my tanks pretty frequently to warrant buying a compressor. When I can get them filled for only $5 and the place is less than 5 minutes away...There's really no reason for me to get a compressor.

I have a Freedom 8 and haven't used it in over a year. The paintball shop I go to fill my tanks for $1.50 per 1000 psi. The most I've paid for a fill is $3.00.

Same here. Two fill stations just around the corner, and another one 3 km farther away. Scuba diving is very popular in my area. Very happy with that!
$5 pr fill

Scuba shops have breathable air and it's more expensive than air at paintball shops

I'm getting mine filled at a place the supplies Fire/EMT/Police etc. It's breathable air.

The local dive shop in Pocatello has lifetime free fills if you buy the tank from them. Alas, there is no local place (within 150 miles) that will fill to 4500 psi. But, if you tune to a lower fill pressure, the SCUBA tank lasts for several fills. 

They also have a lifetime of free visuals too. The five year hydro test does require that the tank is sent out. But, the shop will give you a loner until it is returned.

I also had an arraignment with a fire department to fill my tanks for free, but the drive is not worth it since the paintball shop will do it for so cheap and a lot closer to my house.

I have a volunteer fire dept less than a 1/2 mile from my house that would fill for free, but I like having air at my disposal so I opted for a compressor. To many times I ran out of air tuning a gun late at night and had to wait till the next day for a fill. No longer, I have unlimited air and it is the best investment I have made.
