Do yourself a favor and cycle thru a number of cock then uncock cycles before shooting. Many times the goo left in the compression chamber needs worked thru before actual shooting to prevent any possible dieseling. Clean the barrel right away, cycle a number of cock and uncock cycles then start with a heavy pellet for the first dozen or so shots, then pull a couple patches thru again. If all cycles well then start finding which pellet works best. Have saw new guns come in with lots of goo inside and other have little, just take it easy at ffirst so it doesnt diesel and ruin a bew spring.Good luck with that new rifle!!
