I really have never had a nice scope and really don't have anything to compare it too.. My wife's dad has probably $10,000 in glass and I just can't tell the difference like he can honestly. All I know is this is LEAPS AND BOUNDS over the 4x32 that came on my springer.

 Congrats.
Yes they are a bit heavy and "I" hate adding the lit reticule to any scope but actually pretty decent glass & dots/reticule isn't too think. Most people who are'ny serious target shooters ($$$$) who've looked through it thought it very good glass. I went ahead and added a dovetail to "weaver" adaptor to clear my clip, scope was actually correctly mounted in the supplied rings and centered, good to go right out of the box.
For the money, a very good scope.

I also added the weaver adapter, the weaver branded ones as well.

"bill_dd97"I have it on my marauder. The extra weight comes from the illuminated reticle you forgot to list.
Nuh uh... On my first post I wrote 4-16x40 AO IR. muahaha, you just missed it 😈

glad ad it would appear as if I got a good deal on a decent scope. Mine is so far off line it's insane, but I am going to get it right tomorrow. I took a few test shots this AM with it before I went to bed to try and focus in, but I was too tired and my wife said that at 5:45 AM the springer is far too loud to be ahooting in our HOA.

"billydjann"I have four of these.... I really like them.... and I mean a lot...
I prefer utg scopes - but you can't beat the price and quility of the CenterPoint 4-16x40

super good to know! Seems like those that have shot this scope seem to like it a lot. I am going to get it sighted right now actually. These do lock, so you can reset back to zero right?

Great deal on the glass Jason. I haven't had the pleasure to own one of those yet, but I have friend who has about 4 of them , so he really likes it. He's even using it for Field Target and doing quite well with it.
I have 3 of the Leapers scopes and even had a Leapers BugBuster which I gave to my step daughter with her Gamo.
I've been running the gamut, just trying several different scopes. I like my Hawke 8-32X5 sidewinder the best, very closely followed by my 4-16X44 MTC Mamba Lite, and then I just love my 6-24x44 BSA Tactical. Gotta Falcon T-50 that I haven't used that much yet, and an MTC Genesis 5-20x50 on the Dragon. I don't like the reticle on the Genesis and the Falcon is a big ol' honker. Even bigger than the Hawke.
There are so many scopes I want to try. Yeah, buy a scope and it's another excuse to get another gun to put it on ;-)
I really want to try the Sightron III and the front focal plane SWFA SS 3-15X42 scope that our moderator Michael Wendt loves

That Centerpoint is just one of many more I see in your future! LOL
