Wondering how those lever action PCP

Recently purchased the Eagle Claw, drop shipped to Will Piatt for tune, I wanted a medium size game slug rifle in .25. Gun is accurate and producing 84 Ft.lbs at the muzzle. I have only shot the Nielsen 38.5 and they worked great, gun is a pinger but back yard friendly. Will used the 43.5 Eun jins for test projectile and got avg FPS 939. The rifle barrel is unchoked,18/1 twist and he inspected the barrel found it to be free of defects and sound.

I have only put two mags, 16 shots at 35 yards. Need some room to shoot at a 100 yrds, will be hunting with it in a few days and will know how it performs at 100 yrds. I have to say it is a different world. Very powerful and accurate .25, lever action is smooth, you do have to complete the full cocking stroke and I have not gotten much time with it yet. It will be interesting to see just how quick and smooth I can fire the rifle.

Mags are plastic so good idea to buy a few extra as some have had trouble, one reviewer tightened the screw to fix, Will had one fail during tune. Mags work fine but they are plastic so be advised. Given the value of this gun, money and performance very pleased with result!!! Will did a fantastic job, generous with his time and tuned the gun for the use intended and very pleased with result. This gun is fun to shoot, quiet and accurate.

I've owned several Career and Sumatra rifles and carbines in .177, 22 and .25, and consider them almost worthless until I tune them to return a bell-curve power band; whereupon they shoot with (and often BEAT) the finest regulated, high-dollar PCPs money can buy. Good thing that's how I get my kicks, because I can't afford the finest regulated, high-dollar PCPs money can buy!
