won Crosman 180

Won the 180 on eBay. Received it today. Metal work is in excellent condition, wood finish has a few places where finish flaked off, but no major dents. Seller had said the gun shot but leaked down in about an hour. I figured the leak was probably the co@ cap since the o-ring looks a little tired. So put in a few drops of Pellgun oil, installed one of my bulk fill adapters and gave it a small charge of gas. Can't hear any leaks, but I wear hearing aids so there may be a very little one. Shot it 15 times in the shop and then put it in the safe. I'll check in the morning to see if it still holds gas. The rear sight elevator and the rear breech plug were missing, but everything else looks great. I had a sight elevator that will work. Just need to locate a breech plug.

Now to figure out how to install a receiver sight. Already working on that. Maybe it will work. I do have Ron Robinson scope mounts so could use one of my scopes. Time will tell.

Congratulations on finding the nice 180, L! I'd kinda decided mine was the wrong 180 for you; so am happy to hear the good news. Hope that doesn't remove all impetus for you to come to the TEXtreme Airgun Show next month (if possible).

So as to avoid coming across as trying to coerce you, I'd refrained from sending this picture of my latest target shot last week with my very customized 180. But I'll post it now... just to BRAG! ;-)

Ten shots in windy conditions at 35 yards (top group next to a dime), and ten more shots still windy at 50 (next to the quarter).
