LOL! That is too funny! Not one mention of it being and air gun. Looks like a .25 to me. Most tv news people wouldn't know a firearm from a sqiurt gun. Thanks for sharing!

Wow I think that they just do not want to let the word out that its a pellet rifle for her own safety, remember the persons were not caught. Also besides that, it would have every Joe blow going out and buying a pellet rifle to do he same thing and if they get into a fire fight that would end very bad. I would not mention it also.

A .25 could do Some damage to a person. While not a good home defense weapon, don't underestimate the gun! 38Fp energy is a far cry from a .357 but a well placed shot can still kill at close range.

A .25 to the head, or placed correctly on the chest will kill someone...no doubt in my mind.

My daughter said that a woman scared off two Rogers with a marauder I told her most people don't know what a air rifle looks like. I think if that was pointed at me I would comply.

So, it's been a day or two or three since she shot. When did most high schools dump ROTO programs? I think it has been a while since she was in ROTC. Give her credit for having the willingness to defend the property.

That's a riot!!! I have that same air gun and while chances of getting killed are very low, chances of getting a nasty wound are very high. A gut shot would require getting split open and having ones abdominal cavity cleaned out. Not a minor procedure. Or, you could take about four days to die if infection.

So much for air guns flying under the radar. I don't think CA law will suggest "taking away our guns" but the added scrutiny might make it more difficult to buy and sell, and shoot in your back yard.
