Had the rifle out for the first time this morning for a few hours. My first impression is very positive. Fed through various pellets and the barrel wasn't particularly fussy. Only managed to stretch it out to forty yards before the wife had me back on the DIY, however it was stacking jsb 18s pellet on pellet without issue. I have some monsters and sniper magnums to try out when I next get a chance.
The gun itself is mouse fart quiet with the hugget shroud and moderator. The stock is fantastic and the rifle mounts easily. I find this slightly more pointable than the streamline and certainly better for in the woods given it is much shorter. I am also really impressed with the side lever cocking arm which works smoothly and seamlessly. The magazine also works fine, I was a little bit worried about the magazine given stories of pellets being clipped, but my magazine feeds fine.
The only thing I may fiddle with atm is the trigger as it is a tad too heavy, otherwise I think the rifle is close to perfect for my needs. Saw three fat grey squirrels as I trooped in from zeroing the scope but the dogs saw them off before the wolverine could bite. I am sure it will het another chance soon....
I appreciate this is an expensive bit of kit, however I have no hesitation in recommending a wolverine R in 22 to anyone who would ask.
