Wolverine R vs Wolverine HP

Anyone shot both? I initially thought the R would be goos enough for ground squirrel and pigeons to 75 or so yards but maybe the HP would be better? I guess doesnt have to be a comparison of those two as much as 30 fpe vs 45 fpe. I want to make sure its powerful enough for rodent control at 75 or yards.

I have one of each. If you are wanting to do serious rodent control at 75 yards, go with the HP. My HP is in .25 and raccoons and other varmints are no match at 75 yards.

How is the noise with a moderator? Honestly ground squirrels an prairie dogs will be the primary targets so smaller than raccoons.

I have a Wolverine in 177 for FT and like it! but for hunting I don't know. Wouldn't it be 10lbs + and long.

.22 is rated 30 fpe but I don't know for how far. I mean if a squirrel is 50 yards out I suppose that is pushing it.

I probably didn't write that like I meant it. I have a Wolverine R. the HP Would be longer and heavier. I couldn't imagine packing it around on a hunt.

30 fpe is plenty for a squirrel at 50 yards. Just practice on some paper first.
