Wolverine .25 B-Lite New 24" Barrel

Just put the 23 /3/4 " L/W barrel on the Wolverine. The factory one is 17".

It is about a 100 out here today, so I just shot a few strings over the chronograph. I will mess with hammer throw after I get a chance to see how accurate it is , or is not going to be.

23" 33 grain MKII 17" 25 grain King 23" 25 grain King. All started at 3400 psi. Same Hammer Throw.

I just stopped shooting @ 955 fps..was getting hot outside...The 17" barrel is accurate as heck. I just want to see how fast this thing will shoot and still maintain accuracy. The longer barrel was the easiest way. Where ever it shoots the most accurate, that is where I will leave it. If it is down in the 920s, I will just go back to the 17". I am hoping it will be accurate in the 980s in 25 grain. Looks like with the 24" barrel I have gained about 70 fps over the 17" w/25 grains. But that might increase even more when I start playing with the hammer throw.

While I was getting some real good groups with the above speeds, I seem to get too many flyers. so I shortened the hammer throw, I think 3 turns. Here is a string 3500 psi fill. 25 grain jsb.

I am going to install this regulator, it is set at 170bar Hope to see an improvement. Will be a couple weeks before I have days off again.

Nutcracker,

Aligning the gauge and fill port can be a challenge. Get a sheet of 2000 grit sandpaper. You can easily polish the nylon washer that you will place between the reg body and the action if required. Go soft and slow. Use silicon grease. No need to torque past hand tight if you size the washer well.

I hope you have enough volume of regulated air to keep the velocity in your desired range. The .25 will require a tad more air than the .22. I think the regulated volume will be the same on either. I topped out at 33 ftlb on my .22 but dialed it back to right at 30. Your transfer port is bigger and the 170 Bar regulated pressure will help as mine is right at 150 Bar. I am very interested in how this turns out. If your velocity drops, consider making a spacer tube to place between the regulator and action. That would allow a larger volume of regulated air to be available for the shot.

keep us informed. I may need a barrel👍🏻.
