This is the box i built about 6 years ago.

I just went to the basement one night and used the left over deck wood i had and started cutting and screwing it together.

I had never seen one, other than the small ones that PA sold, but somewhere i heard about duct seal.

It took a while to get the duct seal.

I'd buy whatever lowes or home depot had in stock.

I ended up putting two layers of duct seal all the way up the box, this picture was before i had enough to finish it. The back is lined with copper that i had left over from a DIY roof/flashing repair.

Everything to build this was from scraps i had around, except the duct seal, i don't remember what it cost, but i know it does the job.

The wire in the bottom ketches the pieces of target etc. and i just lift it out and dump it and then set it back in.

I removed the wire from in front of the duct seal, it didn't really accomplish anything,

Great box, probably weights about 65 pounds or more, but i don't move it.

I have a 20 yard area/distance to shoot in the basement.

I live in the country, i have a 30 Acre Tree Farm and 5 acres of open area, so having a protected, safe shooting area is not an issue, but it is nice to shoot in the basement when the weather does not cooperate or at night when you get the urge.

I'd say this box is bullet proof, but i'm not sure of that, but it has been pellet proof for six years, and i'm sure it will out live me.

I was just thinking that after shooting this box for 6 years it probably has 30 lbs of lead in it as well as the 40 lbs of duct seal and then there's the wood and copper. But it handles the 177, 22 and now the .25. But I am glad I over built it, peace of mind.
