Winchester .177

For what it's worth, if you live close to a Tractor Supply, I have tried the Winchester. 177 pellets in my Compatto with very good results on low power where I was afraid of damaging what was behind the target in case of a pass through. From Google these appear to be 9.8 grain pellets made by Gamo. While they are inexpensive ($5.00 per 500 tin at TSC), they do shoot pretty well out of the Lothar Walther barrel...especially as a less expensive alternative for plinking with VERY few damaged skirts. They seem to, for me, to shoot close to the JSB and AA 10.34 gr. Just a thought for what it's worth.

Wow, I'm amazed you guys are having such good luck with them, I purchased several containers of them thinking for that price I would use them in my co2 pistols we do action pistol competition's with, well I still haven't gotten around to tying them in the pistols but shooting groups at 25y with my Air Arms EV2 MkII they were all over the place, I poop you not, I literally got a better 5 shot group shooting them backwards in that gun and that was at 25yards ;~Þ lol

Those Winchesters have worked pretty well for me as well. I remember reading about a change in pellet/packaging a while back and I bought several tins of the originals until they disappeared as people seemed to have better luck with those. I also like the very light .177 Winchesters (4.32 gr. I believe) for the P17 to gain a bit of extra velocity. Neither are as accurate as some other pellets but they have been more than good enough for casual plinking for me.
