That’s abuse for sure … great video. We do need to put into perspective the cost of the EVO against the Brocock and FX. I think you can buy both for the cost of an Evo.

You are right..... But, if the Evo is a 30 Cal you could be hunting something that a miss shot could cost you a lot. It already happened to me during a bear, moose and wolf hunt Canada. In order not bring my 30-06 (all trámites involved) I used the one of the outfitter.

The rifle got named when I had maybe my only opportunity in life to hunt a grey wolf.... That fail of the rifle cost to me an opportunity of a lifetime..... Much more than the price of a rifle.

Being a M98 Mauser man I know what a good action is. Its proved it self all over the world. Would I throw them down a dirtbank?. No …No need to. I know they are reliable and battleproven. If I were say some similar stuff on a PCP I guess the Theoben Rapid Mk 1 and 2. They were made simple and in a good construction. The problem with all PCP and springers is the barrels are made of softer steel. If the barrel bents like from hitting a rock you have a very sophisticated stick. A good survival airgun in my opinion must have ironsights. Scope is fine but if breaks its hard to beat traditional ironsights.

A good survival airgun would be one of these Bejamins you pump up 10x. Here you have a gun that will do rabbits and no need for a divebottle. They have ironsights if I recall.

I don't think this series is ment to find out what airgun to have in a survival situation, .......but more to see the level of ruggedness in the construction, extreme over the top testing is only to see how well guns are built.

Okay, now that I’m done cleaning mine…. I’m very impressed with the evol. I’ve considered an evol hps 22 for some target practice. I’m not too surprised that the fx barrel system and a few other parts had issues. It’s a balance of weight vs strength. I think the simpler guns will probably hold up better especially when made with good components. I would guess a taipan would hold up very well.

Stuff like this is WHY many of us say Dana is one of the most honest reviewers out there, even though he might be “off his rocker” on this one. Yes, jaw dropping, but especially the Evol was super impressive in its durability.

I’m thinking a feller ain’t gonna have any problems with the Evol by gum. I’d be leery of filling any of those guns with a full charge after that though, definitely worries concerning weakened air tubes. Hopefully no injuries will happen! I love the music “where is my mind” and the last look on Marleys face lol! Thanks for sharing, and be careful Dana!

Dana you are an evil Man! ;^) Great job you did there trashing the guns and all though. They all took some pretty hard knocks for sure. It was hard to say which one was going to come out on top as they all took different paths through most of the thrashings.

I thought I was doing well when my grand daughter knocked my Impact off of the bench onto the concrete and gravel below. I picked it up, dusted it off, and it still shot fine. The tank it was tethered to took a beating and had a broken gauge. The Aztec scope took the brunt of the fall and just got a few scratches on one of the turrets. It was a couple of clicks off after the ordeal though.

We just kept right on shooting although we had to graduate to the Great White for fills from then on.

Thanks for keeping us entertained with your vids they are allot of fun.
